Small Family Farm CSA

We Dig Vegetables

The Small Family Farm hosts two Farm Events each Season.  These events are a wonderful opportunity to come out the farm, meet your farmers and deepen your connection to where your food is grown.  These events enrich your CSA experience.

Strawberry Picking!  Bring your family, your containers and your strawberry picking hats!  We will open our farm and our fields to give you and the family a hay-ride tour of the farm. The farm is open and available for walking and viewing.  This is a great opportunity to come out to the farm and get to know your farmers, ask us questions and see where your food is coming from.  Stay a little longer and share a pot-luck meal with us.  Bring your frisbees, your yard games or your decks of cards, and don't forget a dish to pass!  Bring your own beverages.  Please no dogs.  $3/quart for strawberry you-pick.

You are welcome to come out to the farm just about any time.  Depending on how busy we are, we may or may not be able to give you our undivided attention.  We are usually working with the crew on the weekdays and Saturday mornings.  Sundays can sometimes be a good time to come out, but we try to enjoy a much-needed family day and day of rest (with a few hours of work as well).  Please let us know when you are coming and we will try to make time for you.  If we are totally swamped, we can always point you in the direction of the fields and farm animals so that you can give yourself or your party a self-guided tour of the farm.  We want you to come to the farm, and if you can't make one of our scheduled events, we certainly welcome you to come when it works for you.  pumpkin pickin
